Getting street design right is essential for a successful Form-Based Code and creating a great public realm. As Maine begins to see an increasing number of form-based codes, now is the critical time to join the discussion on how to use this new regulatory tool to achieve high quality and economically rewarding streets that perform well for people.
The webinar will be led by Victor Dover and John Massengale, co-authors of Streets Design: the Secret to Great Cities and Towns, and will examine how the design of streets is the secret to making a great city of town. Rick Hall, a registered transportation engineer in 19 states, will add commentary. Following the webinar, a group discussion will be lead by a local panel of experts, including Carl Eppich from PACTS, Vanessa Farr, CNU-A from Town of Yarmouth, and Rick Chellman from Nelson Nygaard.
This webinar requires in person attendance for the discounted price of $15.00, and a high-level discussion with New England Practitioners. For those unable to attend, you can access the webinar from the FBCI's website and stream onto your personal computer.
