After the Mobility Revolution: rethinking our American city

  • The Center for Arts at The Armory 191 Highland Ave Somerville, MA, 02143 United States (map)

What does the future of transportation look like? The mobility revolution is coming  – improved transit, driverless cars, declining car ownership, automatic parking, intelligent traffic systems, bike and pedestrian friendly roads. Can the revolution create a more human city – better quality of life, improved business climate, more social equity, integration of living and working, more creativity, better open spaces? What are the renewed possibilities for development, community, and human happiness and prosperity when automobiles no longer dictate the shape of cities?

Join CNU New England and the US Audi Urban Future Team in exploring possibilities for Union Square, Somerville as a laboratory for communities around the world in the context of a mobility revolution: declining car ownership, improved transit, advanced transportation technologies, and shared space for multimodal mobility and community.

This event is sponsored by the Audi Urban Future Initiative and is free and open to all. For more information on speakers, workshops, and to register, please visit our website.
